Yo Gabba Gabba!

Mommy was feeling spontaneous today, so after some MAJOR convincing by myself & Cameron, Daddy was on the bandwagon to go see Yo Gabba Gabba Live at the Mann Music Center. As we walked in we told Emory he was going to get a surprise & he kept saying "Emmy Surprise!" over & over again. Once we got inside, he saw some paraphernalia & figured it out! We all enjoyed the show & after Emory warmed up a little while, he was simply in a trance. We got to see DJ Lance, Plex (Daddy/Cam's fav), Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee & Biz Markie (Mommy's fav)! We danced & sang & just had so much fun. They even sang "Party in My Tummy!" which Mommy is also partial to!

Happy 18 months, Peanut!

Our baby boy is a year and a half old! I can't believe it...but when can I believe that he is another month older? This will be his last monthly birthday as the baby of the family, as he will become a big brother on September 9, 2010 or sooner! Mom is hoping for sooner, but time will tell.
This month has been great! You...
- Are talking up a storm, all day, everyday.
- Said your first sentence "I'll tell you!"
- Love when Cameron chases you & you let out the funniest yells when he does so
- Went on your first big family vacation to the Outer Banks in NC
- Loved the beach & pool & playing in the sand
- Try to escape out of your car seat sometimes
- Push Layla/Judge aside & say "Git!"
- Close Mommy's computer when you want to play with her & say "Done!"
- Have fun playing with kitchen stuff
- Love to take walks around the block & actually walk & explore
- Will let Mom read 1 page of a book & then take it to someone else to read 1 page & go back & forth
- Say "The end!" when a book is complete
- Enjoy playing with stickers
- Want to color whenever you see any kind of writing implement
- Like to watch Yo Gabba Gabba & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
- Weigh 21 lbs (hence the term "Peanut" sticking with you!)
- Measure 32 inches (our long & lean little man!)
- Will still play ball for daaaaaays
- Like to say "Judgey-Louuuuuuu!"
- Have fun in your igloo tent
- Had another fun sleepover at Jen's house, while Mom & Dad went to Cheetah & Jimmy's wedding
- Love bubbles
- Moved into your big boy room, with Cameron
- Give Mommy the biggest hug every single night before bed...even if you won't give one to anyone else :) Mommy LOVES this!
- Got your 18 month shots & were very timid at the doctor's office
- Have a big boy smile & just got 2 new canine teeth
- Are not a huge eater, but always will ask for pancakes for breakfast b/c that is your favorite meal of the day
- Love to play with chalk outside
- When asked how your toe-toes smell you say "Stinky Poo Poo"
- Like to help clean up
- Ask to go "outside" or "inside"
- Had fun playdates with Mabel Jane, Timmy & Greyson
- Enjoy going to Gym Tots, especially playing with the finger symbols
- Your smile has somehow become more "big boy" looking
- Always ask for "Apple Ju"
- If you are hurt/upset, you will ask for "Mommy" then "Daddy" then whoever else is around & want to be comforted by everyone
- Enjoy Elmo, Thomas & Truck books
- Like to snuggle with your "Blank"
We love you, Emory Vaughan & can't wait to see what a great big brother you are going to be.

OBX 2010

My parents treated us to a week away in the Outer Banks. I have to say, I think it was the best vacation I have ever been on. We had an amazing time & 300+ pictures later, I will sum it up in a few pictures & a few words...
We rested, played, laughed, smiled, loved, ate, swam, sunned and as Uncle Peep would say, "We just had good old, quality time together without the fuss of Christmas."
Thanks Mom & Dad...you are the best & we are lucky to have you as parents & our boys are SOOOO lucky to have you as their Grandparents.

9/9/10....it's coming!

Yesterday I called to schedule my c-section. We are hoping that little man decides to make an appearance on his own before then, but if not, that will be his birthday! When I called, Paula, the woman who does the surgery scheduling said that we can schedule as soon as 9/8/10 & gave me a bunch of options. My response was "You choose..." I didn't want to choose my son's birthday. Call me crazy, but I wanted it out of my control, just as it will be if he decides to come on his own. Her response was "How about 9/9/10...that sounds pretty cool!" So I obliged & we set the date for 9/9/10 at noon. I choose the noon-time b/c Matt was not thrilled when we had Emory's c-section schedule for the early morning, even though it got changed on the morning of his birth. I also chose noon b/c Emory was born at 11:47 am & we were scheduled for a noon c-section, so it will be interesting to see what time this little guy will arrives.
The count down is on...we can't wait to meet you, sweet little baby boy!
